Top 4 E-Bike Adventure Routes in the Gorge
Whether you're a Hood River local or rolling through for a visit, there's no better way to experience the Gorge than by e-bike! Surrounded by the Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood volcano, and Cascade Mountain Range, it's no wonder our team of passionate bikers chose this area to call home. Here's a sample platter of our favorite routes that maximize the breathtaking scenery and mouthwatering abundance of the area.
1. The Half Fruit Loop - 20 miles
The "Fruit Loop" is located in the beautiful Hood River Valley at the foot of majestic Mount Hood. This route is more bike-friendly than the full 35 mile loop and cruises through a variety of orchards and vineyards.
Our favorites stops: wine tasting at Phelps Creek Vineyards and Mt. Hood Winery, fruits, jams, and huckleberry milkshakes at Apple Valley Country Store, and Panorama Point for the best view in the valley.

2. Historic Columbia River Highway State Bike Trail - 12 miles
Oregon E-Bikes is a 10 minute pedal from the stunning Mark O. Hatfield 'Twin Tunnels' trail, a 5 mile car-free stretch of the historic Columbia River highway. Along the way the trail winds through the Mosier Twin Tunnels with gorge-ous (pun intended) lookouts of the Columbia River Gorge. We recommend heading into the town of Mosier for a bite or beverage or continuing on to the Rowena Crest (below) if you're looking for a bigger adventure!

3. Rowena Crest Overlook - 27 miles
Roll along the Scenic Old Columbia Highway Bike Trail through the Mosier Tunnels to the Rowena Crest overlook for panoramic views of The Dalles' side of the Gorge. From lush green ferns to the wide open desert east of the Cascade mountains, this ride truly has it all. Stop for a glass of wine at Analemma Wines, cherries or peaches at Evans Fruit Company, or a mid-ride refuel of local fare at the Mosier Company.

4. East Side Gravel/Paved Loop - 30 miles
The best mixed-surface ride around! Start on rolling, paved roads through the orchards on the East Side of Hood River then go up, up, and away into the woods on Fir Mountain Road. Hit the gravel at about mile 10 and gear up for a descent down Huskey and Wilson Road and into the more arid town of Mosier where you can grab a pick me up at Randonnée Coffee or take a dip in the Columbia River at Rock Creek Beach. Back on the pavement now, you'll ride the car-free Historic Columbia River Highway where scenic overlooks, waterfalls, and history abound!
