Matt:
Tech Tip Thursday here at Oregon E-Bikes and this week and exciting one. Bosch's new Performance CX motor. Jodie, what's the difference between this and the old one?
Jodie:
Three major differences here. The first being size and weight. This is 50% smaller, and a pound and a half lighter than the gen two, previous generation. The second difference being the level of assist that it provides. All the levels have a greater amount of assist, but Turbo Mode, most noticeably is at 340% assist versus 300% in the gen two motor, quite a bit more assist.
Matt:
Quite a bit, yeah.
Jodie:
The last thing that any rider will notice is that this is a more sensitive motor overall, in addition to being a more powerful motor overall. So on technical terrain, if you're riding cautiously, it'll get you where you want to go a little more easily and comfortably. And then if you're powering up steep hills, whether it's on pavement or on trail, it's going to get you there more quickly, and more powerfully, and more fun.
Matt:
Awesome. Come try the new Bosch Gen four CX motor here at Oregon E-Bikes.
